MISSION
Our mission is to end Canadian arms deals with Saudi Arabia through constructive conversations with federal policy makers. We also aim to empower and educate Canadian citizens to advocate for federal government action to end the export of military goods perpetuating the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
VISION
Our vision is a world where Canada effectively prevents and de-escalates armed conflict and acts in agreement with its national values to build and sustain peace in Yemen.
ABOUT
Canadian Students for Peace in Yemen is a national student coalition formed in 2021 to raise awareness of Canada’s complicity in the Yemeni civil war through their arms deals with Saudi Arabia. We are united under a shared identity as Canadian students and a shared belief in peace. Our coalition is based on the fundamental human right to life, liberty, and equality. As Canadian citizens, we cannot stand idly by while our government continues to undermine peace and security in Yemen. Join us and stand up for human rights.
